Hook-Savers
Me and my family like to fish for crappie and that mean
we go though alot of tackle, mostly hooks and wieghts. If
you're the one who has to replace them that can cost you
alot of money, not to mention the time it takes to tie
them cuts into your fishing. This had always been a
frustration for me. Then one day me and my brother
went out on a fishing trip. After a few bites I got hung
up and was about to break the line when my brother
said wait. He pulled out a weight and hooked it on the
line took the pole from me and said watch this. He let it
slide down the line until it got to the hook, bounced it
a couple of times, then reeled it in with all my tackle
intact. I did this all day and only lost about two or three
setups, it got me to thinking about how I could make this
work for me. I went home and got to work on the idea.
My brother in law asked what I was doing, I told him I
was making a hook saver to save me some time when we
all went out fishing, and could save me money on tackle.
He asked what it was, I told him it is a weight to clip on
your line to untangle you from brush piles.
He thought it was a great idea so he joined the Hook
Savers team. He said we could use heavier wieghts when
we go catfishings also.
